Denise S. Mason, LMT

Denise is the creator and CEO of Balance Massage Studio, Inc., opening Balance in 2001.

She began her massage career at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in 1999, as a memeber in the first class offered by the school.

Her passion for massage and continuing education has lead her to aquire certification in Hot Stone Massage, Myofascial Mobilization Techniques, Myofascial Release I, Pediatric Myofascial Release, introduction to Energy Healing through Barbara Brennen School of Healing, Advanced Energy Healing and apprenticeship program in Energy Mastery, Past Life Regression Healing techniques, Pranic Healing, Fibromyalgia and Massage and various workshops to add to her skills as a massage therapist.

Beginning in 2001, Denise taught Hot Stone Massage nationally at community colleges and massage schools to other massage therapists. She soon discovered her own program, Basic Basalt Hot Stone Massage, and continues to teach in the Albany area.

Denise became a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) as a student in 1999 and continues her professional membership. She is a member of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce since 2002, serves on the Program Advisory Board for the CNWSMT and is often a guest speaker on professional development panels also at the CNWSMT.

In 2002, Denise developed "Take The Mystery Out Of Massage", an educational program to inform the public of the benefits of massage therapy. She is available for public speaking engagements to interested groups.

In 2008 Denise completed an independent study course on Fibromyalgia and Massage and facilitates a support group for individuals and their families coping with this disease. The group meets every month.

Her volunteer work includes community events and guest speaking. She helped to organize a group of therapists to massage firefighters and police officers in Manhattan soon after 9/11. Balance Massage and the talented staff continue to support and give back to the community through fund raising, hands on events, and donations.

Denise's specialties include Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone Therapy, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Energy Balancing and teaching. Denise has many interests that include gardening, nature, interior design, and travel. She is the mother of two sons and has a very supportive husband.

Mary Panza, LMT

Mary Panza has been with Balance Massage Studio since the doors opened on December 8th 2001. She is enthusiastic about all the changes in the massage world and is thrilled with the public’s interest in massage. She is also happy with the renewed requests for her favorite modalities Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Thai Yoga massage.

Mary specializes in Deep Tissue/Medical, Thai Yoga, Shiatsu, Prenatal, and Hot Stone massage.
Mary can be requested for massage appointments:
Thursday 10-6pm, Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:30-3 and Monday Noon-6pm.

Mary has been a very visible member of the Spoken Word community since 1988. She has co-produced two CD's, "A Little Nip" and "Volume". She is also Vice President of Albany Poets, a non-for-profit organization devoted to the local creative community. Her work can be viewed at AlbanyPoets.com and thehiddencity.com. She hosts POETS SPEAK LOUD, a spoken word open mic, the last Monday of each month at Tess' Lark Tavern.

Sarah Bowman, LMT

Sarah is a 2006 graduate of the Center For Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and began working at Balance Massage Studio in April 2007.

Sarah specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, and is certified in Trigger Point Therapy.

Sarah is an Ashtanga Yoga enthusiast and likes to spend her weekends at her lake house. She is also the Balance Massage Studio resident administrative guru, specializing in spell check, grammatical syntax and lost file retrieval.

Sarah's Hours:
Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 - 6:00
Friday 3:30 - 7:00

Sonja Condon, LMT

Sonja is a 2004 graduate from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy. She specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone Massage, Reiki,and Craniosacral Therapy.

Sonja loves to spend time with her family and friends, including two beautiful daughters and a very supportive husband. She also has an avid interest in cooking and home interior design.

Sonja can be requested for massage appointments: Tuesday thru Thursday – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Caitlin Lane Lennon, LMT

Caitlin is a 2008 graduate from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage therapy. She joined the Balance team shortly after taking the NYS exam. Her passion for massage therapy began at an early year when a close friend attended the school in 1999. Since then she was hooked. At this time in her career Caitlin’s modalities are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, Prenatal, and Shiatsu.

Caitlin has a great love for the outdoors. She enjoys fishing, four wheeling, hiking, as well as cooking and entertaining for friends and family.

Caitlin is excited about society’s growing awareness of massage and its benefits. She feels that awareness is the first step to healing the mind, body, and soul.

Wednesday 12-6
Thursday 4:30-7:30
Friday 10-4
